Single-visit treatment
One appointment. One anaesthetic. One finished tooth.
With CEREC and CBCT in the same building, most crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers are scanned, designed, milled and fitted while you wait. No temporary crown, no second visit.
What we can do in one visit
Treatments and typical chair time
2–3 hrs
CEREC same-day crowns
A full ceramic crown for a broken, root-canal-treated or heavily filled tooth.
1.5–2 hrs
CEREC inlays & onlays
A ceramic "partial crown" that keeps more of your natural tooth than a full crown.
2–4 hrs
CEREC veneers
Thin ceramic shells for chipped, worn or discoloured front teeth.
1–2 hrs
CBCT implant planning
A 3D scan and a digital plan for your implant, explained the same day.
The same-day crown
Your crown, designed and fitted in a single visit.
Most clinics take two or three appointments and a temporary crown. With CBCT and CEREC under one roof, we usually finish in one sitting. Here's what those few hours look like.

Who it suits
- A cracked, broken or heavily filled back tooth
- A tooth that has just had a root canal
- Replacing an old metal or failing crown
- Patients visiting Kanpur for only a few days
- Anyone who would rather not wear a temporary crown
When it may not
- Long bridges spanning several missing teeth
- Some full-mouth rehabilitations that need a lab-made, layered finish
- Teeth with active gum disease or infection that must settle first
We'll always tell you honestly if a lab-made option would serve you better.

FAQ
Single-visit questions
What is CEREC and how does it work?
CEREC is a digital system made by Dentsply Sirona. An intraoral camera scans your prepared tooth, the crown is designed on a computer, and a milling unit in the clinic carves it from a ceramic block. It is then polished or glazed and bonded in place.
How is CBCT different from regular dental X-rays?
A regular X-ray is a flat, 2D picture. CBCT (cone beam CT) builds a 3D image of your teeth, roots, jaw bone and nerves. It is mainly used to plan implants safely and to investigate complicated root canals.
Can I really get a crown in just one visit?
For most single crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers, yes. The whole appointment usually takes 2–3 hours, and you can relax in the lounge while the crown is milled.
Are same-day restorations as good as lab-made ones?
Modern CEREC ceramics are strong and long-lasting, and fit is checked digitally. A lab-made crown may still be the better choice for some cosmetic front teeth or multi-tooth work. We'll recommend whichever is best for your case.
Is this technology safe?
Yes. The intraoral scanner uses light, not radiation. CBCT uses a low radiation dose and is only taken when it changes the treatment plan.
